An exhibition dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci machines is in…
From the end of November until 6 January 2015 the exhibition “100 Presepi” is held in Rome at Sale del Bramante located in Piazza del Popolo to celebrate the old Italian tradition of Nativity scenes building.
This year more than 200 presepi will be on display from 42 countries all over the world made with materials of all kinds. Resin from Brazil, corn leaves from El Salvador, but also plexiglass from Croatia
or zinc wire from Slovakia.
For example, there is one with 42 types of pasta; another, in an egg shell; yet another, in a nut shell or with stones, but the special feature of this year are more than 20 nativity scenes carved by hand in the coral in the Neapolitan tradition.
Special workshops are set for children, upon reservation.
