The American dream of Norman Rockwell in exhibition in Rome

Until 8 February 2015 will be held in Rome at Fondazione Roma Museo, Palazzo Sciarra an exhibition dedicated to Norman Rockwell, one of most important american illustrators., the painter & illustrator of the “Saturday Evening Post” from 1916 to 1963,
Rockwell tells America during its economical crisis and social problems in his personal way trough the optimism that it’s possible to see in the colors and in the subjects of his paintings and drawings.
In the “American Chronicles: the Art of Norman Rockwell” exhibition there are exposed drawings, paintings, photographs and more than 300 original magazine covers, all showing the artist’s unique perspective on American society, through the view of a true affection and idealization, expressing what has always been named “American dream”.
