Rome Marathon 2016 and the “Stracittadina”

Rome Marathon 2016 will take place on Sunday, Apri 10, starting at 08:50 from Via dei Fori Imperiali, the same spot where the race will have its arrival.
The route of the race is 42 km and 195 meters long and will have a large number of participants from all over the world.
For this reason the Rome Marathon is the biggest sporting event in Italy.
As per tradition, the route of the race goes around the historic city center, then touching some outer areas, but no less fascinating, then come back and end up back in the center.

Another sporting event that will take place in parallel with the Rome Marathon that day will be, “The Stracittadina“, a non-competitive 5km running around Via dei Fori Imperiali and the Circus Maximus, which will start at 09:10, open to everyone: families with children and their pets, the young, the elderly, all united by a common desire to spend a beautiful day in the heart of the Eternal City.
